Shane Vermette, Forestry Operations & Silviculture Manager with Saskatchewan Environment's Forest Service next to a spruce seedling in an NSR block located south Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan. The block was planted in 2000 and released in 2005 from very dense shrub competition, resulting in over 30cm average leader growth across the block in 2006 and the block reaching free-to-grow status.
